I guess the rest of this is just being picky but I'll mention it anyway because the author is obviously a great writer and researcher and he gives incredible detail on nearly everything . I loved the fact that u didnt have to read these books in any certain order to understand what was going on although Savage Instinct gives a little more history. I have read this book to students in my classroom (1st and 2nd grade students) as well as to my own children. Children love animal-perspective books. They love to WRITE stories from the perspective of a smaller creature- think: "The Littles" series. ...

The storyline was excellent with a great sense of humor and the banter between the two heroes and heroine was delightful. This is one of those print on demand books that are done upon ordering. It's Christmas, 1866, and amateur sleuth Charles Lenox, recently engaged to his best friend, Lady Jane Grey, is happily celebrating the holiday in his Mayfair townhouse. The conclusion is surprising and at times bloody.
